Are REVOLOOP bicycle tubes suitable for rim brakes?
We recommend the use of disc brakes, as the material is thermally somewhat less resilient than a classic butyl tube.
Are REVOLOOP products ecologically responsible?
REVOLOOPs are made of thermoplastic polyurethane which is fully recyclable and requires significantly less energy to manufacture and dispose of than traditional butyl products.
Can I inflate REVOLOOP bicycle tubes outside the tyre?
IMPORTANT: Never inflate your REVOLOOP tube outside the tyre with a pressure greater than 0.5 bar/7 p.s.i. Otherwise, there is a risk that the REVOLOOPs will overstretch or even burs
Can I inflate REVOLOOPs with CO2 cartridges?
Yes, REVOLOOP bicycle tubes can be filled with CO2 cartridges.
Can I remove the valve core and what about valve extensions?
Yes, the REVOLOOP valve cores are screwed in and can be removed or retightened if necessary if there is a leak. Likewise, valve extensions can be screwed in in the same way as steel or aluminium valves.
What maximum tyre pressure can REVOLOOP bicycle tubes withstand?
The maximum permissible pressure for REVOLOOP bicycle tubes does not depend on the tube itself, but the tyre. Stay within the recommended range for the tyre.
Which tyre pressure is right for REVOLOOP bicycle tubes?
Which tyre pressure is the right one is, of course, up to the rider. Since the thermoplastic polyurethane behaves somewhat differently than a classic butyl rubber due to the material, we recommend lowering the tyre pressure by about 0.1-0.3 bar compared to the usual pressure. Especially with MTBs, this creates a lot of grip and a harmonious rolling of the tyre.
